Last RD for 2009

I was a late comer to the Random Dozen, but better late than never, right? Anyhoo, here goes my answers to the last of RD for 2009…

1. Do you find it gross to share drinks with family? Friends?

No not really. With family you share all the same germs anyways from living in such close proximity to each other. Friends…it really does not bother me. Now if they were missing teeth from lack of brushing, I might have to think twice, but all my friends have all their teeth…I think…

2. What have you learned this year?

Wow, a tough question to answer. I think that the most profound thing I learned this year is that my husband and children are the most important things to me, period! My hubby loves me unconditionally, faults and all and ditto goes for him. My children have my love, no matter what they do, through thick and thin, failures and triumphs. In the end all we really have is each other and that is all that matters.

3. When do you dismantle the Christmas decorations?

January 2nd. One year I took the decorations down right after Christmas and it was a bad year. I am not superstitious, but why chance it.

4. Something you wish to accomplish before the end of 2009 is:

Getting my kitchen cabinets painted. I started painting them and need to get them finished!

5. How do you feel about winter (after Christmas)?

We really do not get our winter (snow) until after Christmas, so I am still ready for it. Ask me this after February, I am pretty much ready for Spring by then!

6. Have you participated in after-Christmas sales?

I really hate to shop, or I guess I should say I really hate to deal with the onslaught of people fighting for the good sale items. So after Christmas, I really do not have a desire to fight for the after Christmas sales. But of course, if it’s something I am really wanting, beware, I am out their with the best of them!!

7. Do you have plans for New Year's Eve?

Does sleep count as plans?

8. Is there anything special awaiting you in January?

My birthday! I think I might be getting a weekend get-a-way with my hubby…shhh!

9. If your life this year was a movie, what category or genre would it be? (Romance, Comedy, Drama, Thriller, Suspense, Farcical, etc.)

I guess I would have to say a romantic comedy, because sometimes the drama is so suspenseful that the thrills of ludicrously that surrounds my family is ridiculous & funny!

10. How much time per day do you spend blogging? Please do not lie. I will know.

Too much! I did scale back for a couple of months, but I am getting back into the swing of things! I usually check for new post of the blogs I stalk a couple of times a day.

11. Who runs your household?

Higgins. Our handsome and wonderful man-tasitc Chihuahua!

12. Share one hope/dream for 2010.

2010 is such a big year for us, that I guess one hope is that we are able to accomplish everything without killing each other. My oldest graduates high school and will be starting college. We are starting a goat ministry in the Dominican this June and I am wanting to go to Uganda in the fall on another mission trip. A 20 year class reunion in July and one last big family vacation as a family of five. I hope we survive!

Christmas Review & No Coffee Monday

Most Christmases we are rushed to do this and that, go here and there, a whirlwind of activities that leave us exhausted and wondering where the time flew, not this year!  Christmas Eve day, we spent the day as a family just  relaxing and watching movies.  Jeremy has the day off, which in itself, was a true blessing.

That evening we went to our Church’s Christmas Eve Candle Light service.  It was just what I needed to set the mood for the best Christmas ever!  The pastor said a simple statement that I am sure will last a life time with me.  “It’s not about the gifts under the tree, but the Gift that was on the tree.”

Christmas Eve was a very windy day and on our way home from a friends house, tummies full of chili (thanks Pam),  the wind was blowing wildly.  Just about home, Joey said, “wouldn’t it be bad if a tree was down on our driveway where we could not get home?”  Five minutes later, driving down our driveway, a tree was down.  I wish that kid could of said, “Wouldn’t be great if we won the lottery”!  HA!

SDC11749SDC11752

To this, all I can say, I am glad to be the only girl in the family!  I got to sit in the truck with my foot on the brake and take pictures while they did all the hard work!

Christmas was great and one of the big gifts this year was a Xbox 360, so that consumed our Christmas day, between the boys playing and Jeremy trying to figure out how to get Netfilx hooked up to it (and working), we pretty much camped out in our PJ’s on the couch in front of the TV all weekend.

 SDC11754SDC11758

Oh, and Santa got me a Super Mario Bros. Wii  game, so I was a super happy girl!!  Here is the view from our weekend….

SDC11744 SDC11769SDC11771 SDC11766

Could not get any better if we tried…Well that was until the weekend ended and I woke up to a no coffee Monday!  Wow, what a rude awakening to a new week!

Do You See What I See?

Last night I walked into the living room and Higgins was sleeping.  Tucked under his neck was a poinsettia from my Christmas tree.

SDC11741The poinsettias from the tree keep disappearing and I thought the cat was getting them for Higgins, but the cat was not in yesterday to steal them off the tree….hmm…SDC11740

So I woke Higgins up to give him a good talking to about eating the flowers off the tree….

SDC11743

But with a cute little face like this…I just could not do it!!     It must of been a left over flower from that cat!!

It’s Ba-humbug Day

The scrooge in me could not pass this one up! Yes, this is the Christmas season. Yes, the stockings are hung by the chimney with care. Yes, the fruit cake cookies have been made (and ate). Yes, I have been filled with all the wonders and blessings that this time of year bring. But…can I have just one day?

BA-Humbug!!

There, I feel better!!

Now for y’all that are shaking your heads out there, this is an official day, and according to Wellcats, this day allows everyone preparing for Christmas to vent their frustrations. Twelve ba-humbugs allowed, today only. Who am I to pass up this glorious event?

I am pretty sure there are those out there that never have those moments of frustration with all the craziness this time of year brings. For those out there like me…today you can vent your frustration without shame. But only 12 ba-humbugs and only for today. Real scrooges put a damper on the the Christmas season!

Perseverance

The LORD is a refuge for the oppressed,
a stronghold in times of trouble. Psalm 9:9

I had a pretty bad day yesterday. I think that I have had an attack of not only the blues, but some bit of maybe a tiny stomach bug as well. I felt nauseas and achy all day. Maybe it was God’s way of getting my attention and actually keeping me put for the day. Either way, it worked. Jeremy had to work yesterday, so for the most part, I laid on the couch and watched Animal Planet all day. I had to switch it from the movie channel because each movie that came on made me cry!

Today is a new day, I still do not feel great, but today I will rejoice! There will always be trials, hurt and pain in life, knowing this is a learning experience and knowing that through this, I am learning to be patience and most importantly, learning self restraint. Two very important traits that sometimes I lack the most. I always want to jump in, mouth first and make it better. I want to find out why. It took a lot this time to sit back and not do just that.

It been a tough year and through it all, I am learning more to trust God. Trust His timing, not my own. Not an easy task for the impatient, take action and charge, emotional, think before I speak, girl that I am! HA!

Yes, today I am rejoicing for when I run into problems or situations that hurt me, I know it is a good thing. They are helping me learn to rely on Him. It is developing strength and character, which in return is helping me to trust God more and more until I am strong and steady and able to hold my head high no matter what happens!

My God loves me and in my last post I wrote that my God is big. He is so much bigger than this and I am so much bigger than this as well!

Thanks for the prayers. I have felt them working. I still ache and have a deep hurt, but time will heal and I will persevere. I will not let the devil have the victory over this. Today I claim these verses:

Not only so, but we also rejoice in our sufferings, because we know that suffering produces perseverance; perseverance, character; and character, hope. And hope does not disappoint us, because God has poured out his love into our hearts by the Holy Spirit, whom he has given us. Romans 5:3-5

An Extreme Low Moment

Life can completely suck sometimes.  There, I said it.  All in all, I try to keep my blog as positive as I can, there are times I use it as a sounding board to vent, but for the most part, I try to not air to much negativity on here.  We all go through things in our lives and when it’s bad, I feel it is important to stay as positive as I can.  Do I always stay positive?  Nope, I don’t and those time I usually call upon those that I can count on,  and cry, sometimes to the point where they can’t understand me.  Yep, sling snot and sob, big time.

I am usually a pretty upbeat person, take some things in stride sometimes, not so much.  I have had people in my life that I really thought I could count on, others I knew I could not.  Today I found out the hard way, that don’t confided in anyone because once it leaves you lips, you have no control.

I am devastated.  I am mad.  I am disappointed.  I am in attack mode.  I am weepy.  I want to confront.  I want to keep quite.  I want to be heard.  I want to fall asleep.  I can’t fall asleep.  I want to disappear, but then I want to be seen.  I want to trust, but I will never trust again.  I am a failure.  I am in  a bad place.  I need to pray, but struggle to do just that.  The devil is happy.  My God is big.  Much bigger than this.

Pray for me, please.

Birthday, Random & Nephew

Buckle up for a wild ride of randomness…

Yesterday was my sweet hubby’s birthday!  Yay, for another year older and boo for the thinning hair that comes with it.  This morning as I kissed him goodbye as he slept, I noticed that he was really thinning out on thee ‘ol noggin.  Of course, being the ever loving and concerned wife that I am, I woke him up to point it out to him!!  HA!  There was not much love from him this morning….I wonder  why??

Anyhoo, birthdays for kids are so much fun and they can’t wait for each year so they can reach that next milestone, whichever one it might be.  But, for us adults, it’s not that much fun anymore.

So are y’all done with your Christmas shopping and/or decorating??  I can proudly say I am almost done shopping and hopefully, fingers crossed will finish the task tonight!  I have one child left to get a couple of things for and my Christmas shopping is officially in the books for 2009.

As for decorating…not so much.  I have been really wiped out this year and have not finished decorating yet.  I keep trying to figure out if I should even try or just stop with the decorations that I have up.   I have managed to get the living room done and the tree up in the kitchen.  Joey got his tree up by himself and I need to hang a few more ornaments on his.  As for the others, I don’t think I have the energy to do it. The cat keeps getting things off the trees for Higgins to destroy it anyways, so what is the point?  I might just have to call it done and officially put the decorating in the books for 2009 as well!

Well I guess will close this random, crazy, all over the place post with something our nephew Ryan said.  It’s just to cute not to share!!  Enjoy!

My husbands sister, Amy, has two little boys, Joseph and Ryan.  They were singing Away In A Manger in the car.  Joseph was singing “Away in a Manger” and Ryan (age 4) was singing “Away from the danger” and Joseph told Ryan he was singing it wrong.  Ryan quickly told him, no he wasn’t cause Jesus was hiding from the solders!

I just love this kid….too cute!!

A Christmasy Random Dozen

1. Gingerbread: For or against? Discuss.

Not a big fan of gingerbread…not my cup of tea, or coffee or better yet, not my cup of peppermint mocha!  HA!

2. Is it important to you to always stay (live) close to family?

No, I think it’s better to live apart  The distance keeps them out of your daily life and there is no interference and comments on what you may be doing, that they may have an opinion on.  It also makes visits very special because you miss your loved ones.

3. Which holiday pretend character do you wish really existed?

The first one that came to my mind was the Grinch…but I see grinches every time I go Christmas shopping…so they must really do exist!!

4. Which holiday movie best represents how you feel about Christmas or life?

It would have to be “It’s a Wonderful Life”.  There is so much to be thankful for!!

5. Is there a particular Christmas song that you're enjoying now? Any that you're tired of?

I always love hearing “Mary Did You Know” and get goose bumps and tears each time I hear it.  I am getting really tired of  “Sleigh Ride”…I think that is the name of it.  It plays 100 times a day.

6. What is your favorite way to remember those less fortunate at Christmastime?

Remembering those less fortunate at Christmas time is always a challenge.  I like giving gifts anonymously, but sometimes it hard to be able to get it into their hands without being caught!

7. Does it upset you to see "Xmas" instead of Christmas? How about "Happy Holidays" etc., instead of "Merry Christmas?"

Yep, I get pretty tore up about it!   Our society is so busy trying to get Christ out of Christmas.  The other day while checking out of Wow-mart, the check out guy told me “Happy Holidays” and in return, I said “Merry Christmas” to which he made a point of saying, ‘No, Happy Holidays” and again I said have a “Merry Christmas” as I walked away.  GIVE ME A BREAK!  For me it’s Christmas, to him it’s holidays, I am tired of having to respect society's view of Christmas, when it’s the celebration of Christ’s birth not just another holiday or a day off of work.  If he wants to say holidays fine, say it…if I want to say Christmas, let me….I am getting worked up here, it’s a touchy subject with me!!

  8. How many Christmas programs are you attending this month?

2, one adult and one children's program.

9. Are you dreaming of a white Christmas? Any chance of that dream becoming a reality?

A white Christmas is always dreamed about.  We live in Tennessee so it may become a reality and then again it might not!  We’ll keep our fingers crossed!

10. Tell me about a Christmas present you received as a child. Pictures are always nice.

SDC11735 SDC11734 I was very young when I received this kitty.  My Grandfather gave it to me.  When I first received this kitty it had beautiful white fluffy fur.  I carried it everywhere I went and over time it got dirty and needed a bath.  After it was washed the cat’s hair then turned into more of a matty mess, but it didn’t matter to me!!  I would wrapped my hand around it’s body right under the front legs and where I carried it, the stuffing is non existent.    This along with a baby doll is such a cherished treasure!

11. How many Christmas parties are you attending this month?

So far I have attended three and one more to go.

12. How do you keep yourself centered on the significance of Christmas?

Sometimes I get caught up in the hustle and bustle of the rush of this season that I can lose sight of the Christmas season.  To get centered is not that difficult for me.  Seeing and hearing my youngest talk about Jesus and his birthday will always get me right where I need to be!!

Favorite Christmas Ornament

Christmas time is my favorite season of the year. I get plain ‘ol giddy when it comes time to decorate our home! There is something about the lights on the Christmas tree and decorations that makes me smile!! Today I would like to share with you my favorite Christmas Ornament.

SDC11707 It’s not much, a little red glass ball and another smaller peach ball that makes Santa's head. The white on the hat and Santa's beard has yellowed over the years. It no longer hangs on the tree, but stands on the table next to our Christmas tree. This ornament was mine as a child and it brings back special memories.

Memories of sleepless Christmas Eve nights awaiting the excitement of Christmas morning and the surprises that would be under the tree. Stockings filled with oranges, apples, nuts and other unknown treasure ready to be explored. Listening to Christmas music being played while we ate a huge Christmas feast.

This past Sunday our Children preformed their Christmas musical and on the screen pictures of children were flashed that accepted Jesus into their hearts this past year. This Christmas would be their very first Christmas! I had never thought of that before. The excitement that Christmas brings me each year is nothing compared to the excitement of spending your very first Christmas as a Christian and having received the ultimate gift. Now that is something to be giddy about!!

Random Dozen

I am finally jumping in on the Random Dozen, I just could not stay away!!

1. Which physical trait do you now accept--maybe not love, but accept--and no longer feel extremely self-conscious about?

My curly hair.  I have hated it all my life, but finally came to accept it because it’s not going anywhere.  Also as I got older I realized it’s so easy to take care of and time is always a rare commodity!!

2. This week Meredith Baxter Birney, best known as the mom on the favorite 80s sitcom "Family Ties" came out of the closet, which led me to formulate this question: Who do you think is/was the best TV mom?

June Clever.

3. Do you speak any foreign languages? Are there any you'd like to learn?

Does redneck count?  I would love to speak Spanish, have tried but my country accent doesn’t seem to let me!  HA!

4. Who is your personal hero?

It would be my hubby.  At times he is such a pain in the butt, but it takes someone wonderful to be married to me and not break the commandment, “Thou Shall Not Kill”!!

5. What is one holiday food that you find extremely difficult to resist over- indulging in?

Fruit cake cookies.  Yum!

6. Tell me about a Christmas decoration that has special meaning or sentimental value.

A little Santa ornament that I have a post coming tomorrow about.

7. How do you feel about snow?

Love it at first…hate then hate the slushy mess it makes on my road.

8. On average, how many hours of sleep do you get each night?

It varies, the night before I only got 4 hours, but some nights I can get a full 8 or 9 hours.

  9. Tell me about your first crush.

Kindergarten, a boy  named Rodney.

10. You're stuck in a room for 2 hours with only a chalkboard and chalk. What will you write/draw?

I will not run in the halls again.  I will not run in the halls again.  I will not run in the halls again.  I will not run in the halls again.  I will not run in the halls again.  I will not run in the halls again….

11. Do you dress for the current temp or for the day's forecast?

Nope, I wear whatever I can find clean.  Usually I do not know the temperature of the day until I listen to the weather forecast on the radio in my Jeep.

12. Favorite Christmas movie is?

The cartoon version of the Grinch That Stole Christmas.

To Duvet Or Not To Duvet

I am in love with this comforter set for our master bedroom.  Not fond of the rooster pillows, and actually roosters in the bedroom just don’t seem right, but I love the comforter set!

The problem, it has a duvet cover.  I have never had a duvet cover and I am unsure about it.  What are your thoughts?

Circle Of Friends

[circle-of-friends-award-1[3].jpg]

Aww…shucks, I am so honored!

To my wonderful surprise this morning, while blog stalking, I came across this little wonderful “Circle of Friends” award that Robin @ Be Still and Know left for me.  I get so excited to get these little awards.  I am not sure why, but excited I get.  Almost like Christmas morning excited!  HA!

Anyhoo, I need to list five things that I love and then pass this award on to 5 bloggers.  Easy peezy, lemon squizzy!!

Five things I love, in no particular order:

1.  I love this time of year!  Everything from Christmas trees,  children Christmas musicals, nativities, the excuse to drink peppermint mochas each and every day (not that I need an excuse, because I already do!) to the smells and the wonderfulness that this season brings!

2.  I love my dog!!  Yes, it would not be right to not mention my deep love for Higgins…(quiet Greg!).  I have been and will always be the biggest cat lover that there is, but there is just something special about my mantastic Chihuahua, Higgins!!

3.  I love waking up to snow.  Saturday morning when I opened my eyes the first thing I saw even before my head left the pillow was the slow covered branches on the trees and hillsides covered with a blanket of snow.  It make me smile!

4.  My hubby and boys.  This goes without saying, but y’all they are just wonderful!

5.  Farming on Facebook!  Silly I know, but it brings me joy!!

I am now sending this award on to these special bloggers, again, no particular order:

1.  Greg @ Greg’s General Store

2.  April @ Living to Love

3.  Tara @ Tara's 2 Cents

4.  Jeanette @ Our crazy kids... I mean life!

5.  Melissa @ Melissa's Thoughts

A Little Of This & Some Of That

First, I was very excited to wake up to a little bit of snow on the ground…nothing like snow to get you into the Christmas spirit!!  I love waking up to snow, it so refreshing and clean to me and this snow is the prefect kind…just a little that doesn't mess your day up, but so pretty!  Here’s the view from my front porch this morning.

SDC11678

It’s been a very busy couple of weeks, and I think that this is the first Saturday morning that I did not have to be woken up by the alarm clock.  So wonderful!  Actually, there is not much on the agenda today except for a Christmas party this evening, and I can’t tell you how good that feels!

Last night we went to a friends house for a little “redneck” get together!  Some hate being called a redneck, but others embrace it like it’s a winning lottery ticket!  HA!  I wish I would of remembered to snap a few pictures of the spread of food…it was amazing.   There were “2 steps form hell” hamburgers that were stuffed with jalapenos and cheese, stuffed polish sausage with sauerkraut and wrapped bacon, grilled to a golden brown and many other scrumptious concoctions!  It was rather yummy!

Then we had to play the Dirty Santa and Pass The Trash games!  Some of the things that people come up with for gifts, baffles me!  Here are a few…

SDC11661

Enough said!  HA!

 SDC11663 Every one loves boxers!

 SDC11665

I guess they go good with a roll in the hay!

 SDC11667

Hot pickle, anyone?

SDC11668 This poor  lady couldn’t catch a break!

SDC11669 Our lovely hostess, Beth!

It was a great night of fun, a little chilly on the outside, but very warm & delightful on the inside where all the fun was of course!!

Well I guess that covers a little tiny bit of my busy schedule that hasn't allowed me to clean my kitchen!  I guess I need to get busy cleaning before tomorrow starts and it’s back to the non-stop running of the season...

Let me Introduce Our Sponsored Son

Image034Ssenyonda Bull Kayibanda

We are so excited to have adopted this little boy from Uganda. His name is Ssenyonda Bull Kayibanda and as of right now I am calling him Bull. He is 9 years old is currently is not in school. We decided to sponsor him so he can start school right away and because he has never attended school he will be beginning in the “nursery” which I assume is like kindergarten. His father died in the war and his mother disappeared. He currently lives with his grandmother.

Some members from our church went on a mission trip a couple of months ago to Uganda where they met this precious little boy. I’m so excited to be able to play a part in his life and for him to be able to go to school. In October, I have the opportunity to go and meet him, and honesty I can not wait! Today I am getting a care package together for him that the teachers of his school will be taking back with them on the 9th. I only get to fill a gallon size ziplock bag, and I am trying to be strategic to fit all the things I want to send him. I am so excited!! Hopefully he will be just as excited about us!

It is going to be a busy year with 2010 mission trips and I have a post coming up in a few days explaining the ground floor work of a goat ministry in the Dominican that we are starting. I can truly say that God is working in a mighty way!

If you asked me 6 years ago if I would own a goat, I would of laughed at you. If you asked me three years ago if I would ever go on an international mission trip, I would of really laughed hard at you. If you asked me if I would ever go on 2 international mission trips within one year and beginning a goat ministry for one of them, I would of told you that you were crazy! God is good and what a great sense of humor He has!!

I Am So Thankful For…

I am very thankful today for my husband and boys!  I am such a lucky wife and mom to have been blessed and honored to play such a vital part in their lives.

I looked up the definition of family and it says: Two or more people who share goals and values, have long-term commitments to one another, and reside usually in the same dwelling place; A fundamental social group in society typically consisting of one or two parents and their children.

My definition of family is pretty simple.  It is us, plain and simple folks, who love each other for who we are.  Husband and wife working together to provide a Godly home for our children.  Parents who love our boys, regardless of who they are and choices they make,  right or wrong, being supportive and loving them through trials, achievements, triumphs and failures.  At the end of the day the ones you can count on to be there for you not matter what, is family.

It Is Done…Almost!

Finally the big reveal of our hardware floors!  They finally got done with the living room floor and the bedroom floor…yay!  All I can say is I am so excited!  I promise that after this I will try to refrain from oohs and ahhs about the floors.  After having carpet all of our lives and dealing with boys and dogs and the constant cleaning up after them, it is such a nice change.  The only bothersome thing I can say about hardwood floors, is that you sweep or dust mop them and you can turn around and see more dust..ugh!

The only thing left for the guys to install is our hall bath and some thresholds and we should be done.

Here are the final pictures of the living room and bedroom.  Please excuse the mess in my bedroom, but I am packing for our trip tomorrow.  I also forgot to take a picture of the stairs, but I am sure you are tired of the wood floors already and are thrilled I forgot to take a picture!  Ha!

Wood Floor Debacle Day 4

I am ready to move on from the wood floor extreme makeover and am so ready to get back to living but day after day there is something that has gone wrong.

Our living room and hall are complete…our bedroom is complete…the upstairs foyer, hall bath and closet…NOT complete.  Why are they not finished?  They ran out of wood!!  Are you kidding me?  They ran out of wood??

My husband measured when we started to get an estimate on how much we would be spending.  Then the salesman came out and measured and added a little to Jeremy’s measurement to be on the safe side because you need to add 10% to make sure you account for any problems…which I was fine with.  So that is two measurements that were done.  Then they run out??  What is with that.  We are so hoping that the extra boxes are back at the shop.  Oh well…that’s how we roll at our house…nothing goes smoothly!

I am slowing getting things back in order, and as I am sitting here typing this, I remember that I forgot to take pictures today, so I will try to do that tomorrow or the next day when I start putting up Christmas decorations…I am so ready to start decorating for Christmas!  Have y’all started decorating for Christmas yet, or do you wait until after Thanksgiving?

Wood Floors Day Three

No great catastrophes or forgotten vital equipment today to warrant early termination of a full work day.  The poor  fellas were here a full day plus some!  Our living room is almost completely done except for a few pieces in the hall and some boards here and there on the edge of the stair case.  Tomorrow I am assuming they will finish the hall and living room, half bath and start on the master bedroom.  I am so ready to have my house back!

I started (or tried) to move some furniture back in.  The problem is that hubby is at work, DJ & Joey are at church and it is just me and Bradley, who is totally out of commission!  He is not one to watch and as I was struggling to move things in, he was wanting to help, so I just stopped.  I did get a few things in, but I guess the big things will have to wait!  Here are a few more pictures…

I can’t wait to see what it looks like with furniture tomorrow!!  Hopefully soon the wood floor saga will be over and I will move on from discussing it everyday!

I am so ready for Christmas decorations!!  If the house was not so tore to pieces, I would of drug the Christmas box down and started decorating the living room tree!

Surgery Day & Hardware Floors Day 2

Well today has been a really productive day or rather a very busy day.  Today Bradley had the hardware removed from last years football injury.  The good thing about today's surgery, is that it was scheduled much earlier than last year, so much less complaining from the teenager because of lack of food.  I praise God because it was not until after the happy medications and shoulder block that we were told that they were running later!  Yay for Bradley being too sleepy to realize it!

Of course in true blogging fashion here are a few pictures…

Well here is the day 2 update of the three day job of hardware floors being installed…

What I expected to be done today was the living room…and this is what actually did get done:

Apparently when you do a job some workers do not bring enough nails, so they have to leave for the day when they run out.  I feel like screaming….so I guess this three day job is going to turn into an entire week long process, because I can only imagine what they will forget tomorrow!

I am thrilled with the color choice though…what has been laid is beautiful!  I am very excited to see it finished!
