Wrapping Up The Weekend

Friday our oldest turned 18 years old.  My baby is an adult.   It is so hard to believe that just a short 18 years ago we held him in our arms for the very first time and began the journey of parenthood.  A  little party at home with homemade seafood alfreado and cake to boot, he is now ready for  his grand performance of adulthood!  Woo hoo!!  Just a short 26 days and he will be an official college student.  Geeze, we are getting old!!

So what other exciting things happened this weekend?  Zip, not a thing.   It has been so  long since I have had a weekend with nothing to do, that I was giddy with pure boredom!!   I managed to take a nap, both Saturday and today, make a yummy gluten free, wheat free and latex free pancake breakfast, which by the way,  was surprisingly yum-o.  I did however do a couple of productive things this weekend.  Higgins got a bath and a few loads of laundry did get done!!

Here’s to a wonderful non-productive weekend that is quickly coming to an end!!  So what fun and exciting things did you do this weekend?

To Much To Wrap My Brain Around…So You Get Randomness!

I have tried several time to write the second part of Goats…Goats…Goats, but I just can’t seem to get what is in my head, out.  Every time I try, there are just to many words.  Again, I try, but nothing I type is profound enough to explain what I feel or what is happening there in the Dominican.  So I have not posted anything.  This afternoon, instead of letting my blog waste away, I thought I would share a few random things with you.

We have this oasis of nothing-ness that is called our back yard flower bed.  I am not the creative gardener and after  all the hard work in the front flower bed this year and completing it,  all the creative genius left us.  One day while at the garden department at Wally’s they had discounted bulbs, so we thought, why not?!  Hubby and Bradley set out to randomly plant these suckers and hope that maybe something might pop up.  Well to our surprise things have been making their appearance and look what God’s beautiful handy work  showed up…

DSCN1080

Next random subject…look what I made…

DSCN1070

Let me introduce my wheat free, potato free and any kind of latex free pizza crust!!  Yay me!  I would say one thing I miss the most about having this crazy allergy is bread of any kind.  Pizza is an all time favorite of mine and if I had too, I could eat it three times a day.  Needless to say, it’s been tough not having it.  Saturday night was homemade pizza night.  While the family went hog wild with the usual traditional pizza, I set out on uncharted territory.  The crust could use a little tweaking, but I will get better, but to my surprise my pizza was Y-U-M-M-Y!!  Of course since I can not have tomatoes either, I made it with alfredo sauce, bacon, spinach and mushrooms!!  Yes, I am a little proud!!

Last really random thing?  I want to get creative for some craft ideas for craft projects for the Dominican children of La Cumbre.  When we go back we are wanting to make crafts that use useful hygiene items such as soap, toothpaste and things they will have use for in their homes.  I have found a cute little craft using soap and washrags making a fish that ties into the lesson of Jesus feeding the five thousand.  Do you have anything creative that might help us out??   I have searched the web for anything to make but am coming up short.

Also, have you heard of flip flops being used to make trucks??  Someone said they are super cute, but I can not find anything about those…

This Blog Hiatus Was Sponsored By Pure Exhaustion…But I’m Back!

I took a week off from blogging.  Not because I think blogging is exhausting but because my life lately has been.  I used to think that raising three small boys all under the age of 5 was hard….NOT.  Raising an almost 18 year old, a 16 year old  and a 12 year old is a completely exhausting adventure.

DJ will be graduating from high school in less than a month and will be 18 in almost 2 months.  Where has time flown?  We are busy getting ready for the influx and furry of activity that comes with graduation, a graduation party and then getting him ready for college in the fall.

Bradley is the typical driving 16 year old.  I pray everyday that he will be safe.  When he leaves I worry the entire time until he arrives home.  Just this past Thursday he was involved in a minor wreck.  He is so innocent that he just does not realize the consequences of his actions and one wrong split second decision could affect his life forever.  Thankfully he was okay and all parties involved, but after spending 2 1/2 hours of my life speaking with a sheriff officer about what happened, I think Bradley might of learned his lesson.  Hopefully.

Joey is still pretty much smooth sailing with only a minor pre-teen attitude that sneaks up here and there.  Poor child, being the youngest boy, he will not have a prayer with us.  We are on him like white on rice!!

So I took break from blogging last week because sometimes parenting can be tough.

Today I am back.  We have had an interesting weekend here in Tennessee with torrential amounts of rain fall.  Many roads are flooded and interstates were/are closed in some areas.  We stayed in most of the weekend except for heading out to church on Sunday.  We broke out a puzzle that was been sitting on a shelf for months just waiting for the perfect opportunity to work on it.  All in all, it was the perfect end from an exhausting week.

Headache & Spring Fever

I have been so sick and finally feel almost human again.  I have been hosting a headache in my head for almost two weeks now, but finally drug myself to the doctor to end the party for some relief and now that I have a few days of antibiotics in my system, I am almost human again!

I hate doctors, their offices and the whole idea of going.  I was so sick Monday that I was ready to go.  So where do you think I ended up?  The only doctor I like….my eye doctor! HA!  The lady up at the front desk was so confused when I walked in without an appointment and wanted to see him.  I thought I had a sinus infection, and figured he could help me!  He did too!  She went back to talk with him and he told her to send me back!!  I just smirked as I went back!!

Not only did he see me, but he sent me to Publix to get my RX because they are free there!!  I really like him now!!  So if you need to have a sinus infection fixed in a flash, go to your eye doctor!!

Today I woke up, still with a headache, but was ready to enjoy some beautiful Tennessee Spring weather!  I am so glad that it’s Spring and am ready for some flowers!!  The family set out for town to buy some, but we were so frustrated with the traffic and that everyone else was doing the same thing we were, that we didn’t do much shopping.  I did however manage to score a pedicure and a manicure, 2 ferns to hang on the porch and a pressure washer, so it was not a total bust!

Oh well, that about covers my Good Friday…what did y’all do?

Could Someone, Anyone Please Explain This To Me??

What is this?? Could someone please explain to me the want or desire to have pictures of yourself with a scrunched up, sideway, distorted mouth??

Before I go on any further, this is Victoria, my beautiful cousin and Annette’s baby girl from MeMe’s Ink. I didn’t feel right using someone’s picture that I did not know and my boys refused to scrunch up their lips to the side of their face for me to take a picture of.

Further more, I tried to take a picture of myself, but it must be an art to get your mouth to do that and simultaneously take a picture of yourself! HA! Anyhoo, let me move on…

When girls do this scrunched up mouth thing it usually involves a peace sign or some other kind of signal preformed with their hands…why and what do they mean?

Finally, what is the deal with these big ‘ol sunglasses? Come on, really, honestly, be truthful with me…do they look good on anyone? They remind me of bumble bee eyes on steroids.

Now let me make my point here or I guess for those that are going to explain to me why the pictures above make sense, let me explain why I don’t understand the need of distorted lips. Below are more pictures, of the same girl, without said scrunched up mouth, and some without the bumble bee on steroid sunglasses being worn.

Wow, big difference….to be fair, because any girl her age will think that she is ugly in this picture, because we have all been there when we think that no picture is good of us. Well, until we are in our thirties and we look back on the pictures of our younger self and want to cry, because we were beautiful and in my case, so very thin….anyways, here is another picture of Victoria.

Again, she is so beautiful without the scrunched up mouth thing going on. To show that I can be totally cool and try to somewhat have a little fashion sense about me….more pictures with big sunglasses, without self inflicted allergy lips.

Here is the same beautiful girl, with bumble bee on steroid sunglasses, without scrunched up mouth….such a big improvement!!

Fashion is not always our friend…I lived in the time of the Michael Jackson Parachute Pants and wore a pair with pride, ahem, so I can understand the latest fashion craze and the need to wear big ‘ol bumble bee on steroid sunglasses especially when there is no scrunched up mouth involved!.

I know there are some mothers out there that can explain to me why their daughters love to take pictures with the lips all distorted to one side. I am a mom of three boys, I am just curious to know why…

Also, mothers of girls, feel free to ask me why boys do the strange things they do, except don’t ask me why they or their rooms smell so bad, that a complete mystery to man. They just smell!

Word Of The Day…

Brrrr…..

It’s Brr-Fidgety this morning!  We have had freezing temps for a couple of days now and it looks like we will not be above freezing for the remaining of the week…well, I take that back,  on Wednesday we might make it to a warm and cozy 33 degrees….Brr.

Birthday, Random & Nephew

Buckle up for a wild ride of randomness…

Yesterday was my sweet hubby’s birthday!  Yay, for another year older and boo for the thinning hair that comes with it.  This morning as I kissed him goodbye as he slept, I noticed that he was really thinning out on thee ‘ol noggin.  Of course, being the ever loving and concerned wife that I am, I woke him up to point it out to him!!  HA!  There was not much love from him this morning….I wonder  why??

Anyhoo, birthdays for kids are so much fun and they can’t wait for each year so they can reach that next milestone, whichever one it might be.  But, for us adults, it’s not that much fun anymore.

So are y’all done with your Christmas shopping and/or decorating??  I can proudly say I am almost done shopping and hopefully, fingers crossed will finish the task tonight!  I have one child left to get a couple of things for and my Christmas shopping is officially in the books for 2009.

As for decorating…not so much.  I have been really wiped out this year and have not finished decorating yet.  I keep trying to figure out if I should even try or just stop with the decorations that I have up.   I have managed to get the living room done and the tree up in the kitchen.  Joey got his tree up by himself and I need to hang a few more ornaments on his.  As for the others, I don’t think I have the energy to do it. The cat keeps getting things off the trees for Higgins to destroy it anyways, so what is the point?  I might just have to call it done and officially put the decorating in the books for 2009 as well!

Well I guess will close this random, crazy, all over the place post with something our nephew Ryan said.  It’s just to cute not to share!!  Enjoy!

My husbands sister, Amy, has two little boys, Joseph and Ryan.  They were singing Away In A Manger in the car.  Joseph was singing “Away in a Manger” and Ryan (age 4) was singing “Away from the danger” and Joseph told Ryan he was singing it wrong.  Ryan quickly told him, no he wasn’t cause Jesus was hiding from the solders!

I just love this kid….too cute!!

A Little Of This & Some Of That

First, I was very excited to wake up to a little bit of snow on the ground…nothing like snow to get you into the Christmas spirit!!  I love waking up to snow, it so refreshing and clean to me and this snow is the prefect kind…just a little that doesn't mess your day up, but so pretty!  Here’s the view from my front porch this morning.

SDC11678

It’s been a very busy couple of weeks, and I think that this is the first Saturday morning that I did not have to be woken up by the alarm clock.  So wonderful!  Actually, there is not much on the agenda today except for a Christmas party this evening, and I can’t tell you how good that feels!

Last night we went to a friends house for a little “redneck” get together!  Some hate being called a redneck, but others embrace it like it’s a winning lottery ticket!  HA!  I wish I would of remembered to snap a few pictures of the spread of food…it was amazing.   There were “2 steps form hell” hamburgers that were stuffed with jalapenos and cheese, stuffed polish sausage with sauerkraut and wrapped bacon, grilled to a golden brown and many other scrumptious concoctions!  It was rather yummy!

Then we had to play the Dirty Santa and Pass The Trash games!  Some of the things that people come up with for gifts, baffles me!  Here are a few…

SDC11661

Enough said!  HA!

 SDC11663 Every one loves boxers!

 SDC11665

I guess they go good with a roll in the hay!

 SDC11667

Hot pickle, anyone?

SDC11668 This poor  lady couldn’t catch a break!

SDC11669 Our lovely hostess, Beth!

It was a great night of fun, a little chilly on the outside, but very warm & delightful on the inside where all the fun was of course!!

Well I guess that covers a little tiny bit of my busy schedule that hasn't allowed me to clean my kitchen!  I guess I need to get busy cleaning before tomorrow starts and it’s back to the non-stop running of the season...

I’m One Lucky Girl!

Today hubby got me something I have been wanting for a very long time……this little something is…..my new laptop!!  That folks is a big WOO to the HOO!!  I am way excited!

Two weeks ago, our home computer took the big nose dive into the virtual garbage when it died it’s quick death!  I have been using the kids computer, which is been NOT that great, because apparently none of us are good at sharing!!

Now I can sit on the couch, watch all my favorite shows and blog and Facebook my little heart away!!  Just maybe this will jump kick my rear into gear and I will get busy blogging again!

August 20th

Could this really be right, the last time I posted something on my blog was August 20th?? Wow, it just does not seem so!

I have just been completely overwhelmed with life lately. My thoughts are all over the place, I have been sensitive and weepy at the smallest things and I have been sick for almost three weeks with sinus stuff, which I am sure that did not help matters.

I have missed blogging, I have missed checking in on my friends, I have missed telling you about my crazy kids and what they are up too, of course y'all miss hearing about Higgins and his latest adventures......I just have plain been missing out!

I have so much to tell y'all and to catch up on!! I will do that, tonight!! Yep, I found the most awesome thing on Saturday on the way to Possum holler, which I will explain some more about Possum Holler to you, tonight!! (I need to upload pictures, that's why I am waiting until tonight!)

Watch out my fellow blogging buddies, because I am back!! I need you, and I need to talk about stuff, because y'all are the most fantastic bunch of folks that always, always, always lift my spirits!!! So until tonight.....

A Random Post Of lots of Little Things

First, I wanted to thank y’all for all your comments on the “Heritage Not Hate Debate”.  It was enlightening to see what everyone had to say on the subject.  As Greg put it, you know how to open a can of worms.

As parents, our decision is firm on not allowing Bradley to fly the flag.  He is young and just does not understand the repercussions that this could have.  It’s the same old thing I used to say when I was a teenager….”my friends are doing it”, and it’s the same response that I used to hear….”if your friends were jumping off a 10 story building” that we are telling him.  In time, or with age, he will understand why it is inappropriate to fly it and it’s a shame that a flag that used to stand for something has been made into a symbol of hate, but that's life!

Moving on to less political subjects, well maybe not….are any of y’all attending any Hall meetings on the healthcare debate?  We have one scheduled for the 25th in our county and I would love to hear more….

Really moving on to happy subjects!

Today I had the day off and I as I sit here to write this post, I am still in my PJ’s at 5:38 in the afternoon!!  What a great day!  I have no excuse, other that I just do not want to do a thing (apparently not getting dressed is one of them!).  I even took a two hour nap!  Yay me and yay Higgins, he took one too!  I did manage to cook breakfast and lunch and make a fresh batch of chocolate peanut butter cookies, but besides that I have been totally lazy!

Since we have been back from our mission trip, I have had a really tough time getting back on a routine of daily life activities.  The week after I was back, I worked for a week, then I took a few days off to head down to Florida, and after that I have been really non-productive outside of work.  I seem to lack energy and motivation.  I am hoping that when we get back into the full swing of school it will help.

DJ started back to school full time last week.  It’s his senior year of high school and he is so excited, and so are we!!  I can’t believe that we have a senior in high school!  UGH, we are getting old!  HA!

Bradley and Joey are home schooled and they do not start back until September 14th, which seems like light years away.  I am thinking of getting Joey started back on some little things next week, but Bradley’s classes will not start until the 14th, so really until then not much is going on.  There are no complaints out of Bradley's mouth, but I think Joey is itching to get back into school.

Well I am sure that y’all have fallen asleep of total boredom by now, but one more thing before I let you go to sleep!  HA!

Who is watching Big Brother??  Well we are and we are on the edge of our seats for tonight's show, we are pulling for Jordan and Jeff, what about y’all?

Okay, I was not too sure if my blog worked anymore since it has been ages since I last posted something!!

I promise I have not fell off the face of this earth! There has been so much going on since I got home for the Dominican, that by the time my day is done, I fall into the bed to get ready for another extremely busy day!

  • Florida Vacay (short vacay that is)
  • Kids
  • Higgins
  • Ceiling Fan
Yep, some exciting stuff Here! Stay tuned!

Blogcation

I have been on a little blogcation for the past week and boy, have I ever missed y’all!!  Blogcations are never as much fun as vacations, but sometimes a necessary thing that must happen, to get things done that do not have anything to do with a computer!!

So what has been keeping me so busy, you ask?  We had Vacation Bible School at our church Sunday thru Wednesday.  Then it was catch up from that on Thursday & Friday.  I work half days at our church everyday and this week I went in, in the afternoon to keep from driving to church twice everyday since our VBS was in the evenings.  Of course I am a night time blogger and it totally through me off schedule!!  Hubby being home with me each morning didn’t help either!!

Tomorrow morning is the finale of our VBS so hopefully I will catch a few picture to show you, because I didn’t get any pictures this week.

The kids were raising money for missions this week also.  each year our church holds a contest between the boys and the girls.  If the boys bring the most money, the ladies on staff have to do something oh not so fun and vise versa.  Each year the girls win, but this year the tides have changed.

As of last count on Wednesday evening the boys were ahead about $150, but hopefully the girls will redeem themselves tomorrow before the big finale.  If the boys win this year the ladies on staff will have to Slip-n-Slide through ketchup and mustard.  Should be a lovely experience!

Just wanted to do a quick catch up on my week.  I am off to check your blogs to see what exciting things have happened while I have been on my blogcation!!

A Little Hiatus, But Now I'm Back!

Hello everyone, I am back from my blogging hiatus. I have been just a tad overwhelmed this week, and totally off schedule. When I did want to blog, our great state of Tennessee with all it's rain, prevented me from being able to, because the rain causes our Internet to go down....so maybe God was telling me something!!

Actually not much has happened this week but of course the rain, which makes me very sleepy and unmotivated.

Tonight is DJ's prom, and thankfully the rain held off and fingers crossed, I am hoping it continues to stay away until he gets home! Here's are a couple of pictures of him....

That's about covers it!! Have a great weekend!

Give Me My Hour Back!

Yes, we have all sprung forward, some more graciously than others, and this morning I am really needing my hour back! Why does one hour really seem to make such an impact?? Anyhoo, on to more important things....

Joey is doing much better, he was really touch and go on Friday, but the doctor wanted to wait for six hours before we did anything like the dreaded hospital. His body went through so much in four days, that I am sure if it were me, I would be dead! After about four hours and the exit of the medication he had in his system, he quit throwing up! I told him after he hit the prayer list at church and all our prayer warriors at Calvary started praying for him, that was the reason he got better!! (He smiled!) He has been extremely weak this weekend, and totally sick of being stuck in the house for days, not a good combination!

Yesterday he felt well enough to go to church, but on the way home he fell asleep and when he got home, he took a nap and went to bed at 8pm last night!! Hopefully he will start regaining his strength back!!

On another note of well being and recovery, my poor baby Higgin's had the dreaded "Snip, Snip" preformed on Friday!! I was a nervous wreck! One of my baby boy's was at home sick and the other baby boy was at the animal hospital getting his manly parts removed.....oh what is a mother to do! Higgin's made it through surgery fine, he moans an groans in front of me, but is his little chipper self in front of hubby and the boys!! Of course Jeremy gets mad when I baby him because he says I am totally being played, but don't all men do that?? (Sorry BFF!)

Anyhoo, it has been one crazy weekend of sickness and recoveries, and I am glad to say I was happy to see the sun rise and know that I was heading back to work. I am ready for some normal, but would love to have the extra hour that I lost, doing my normal!!

Have a great day!

Thursday Random Nothingness

Well this has been one exhausting, nothing happening, icky filled week! Nothing to report, no reason to be tired no reason really to complain, but shouldn't something exciting be happening??

I left work early yesterday because our wonderful weather men called for some pretty inclement weather, so I wanted to make sure that I got home okay. Turns out the weather was not the dramatic earth shattering event like predicted, so I took a nap! Just what I needed!

Beside that, not much going on! Just thought I would check in!

Have a great day!

Doom & Gloom Is Over!

Hey guys, the beginning of the week was a rough one, but now the sun is shining, the birds are singing and the doom and gloom is behind me!

Just a quick diet update....things are not as bad as they were, a few good diet tips from y'all and a better attitude has helped! I have decided to have a more positive outlook on this whole diet thing and Monday when I weigh myself, hopefully it will be a big Woo to the Hoo!!

This week has a been a busy one at work, and you would think with the holidays behind us that we would have a breather, but not the case. Our new children's minister has keep me on my toes. She is on vacation with her hubby, but that does not keep her from calling!! Oh well, I don't mind...really, April, I don't mind at all!!!!!!

On the home front, things have not been busy and it because of that you would think that my Christmas trees would be down and life back to normal after the busy Christmas season?? Not!! I just took one down last night, so I have three to go. I usually put a tree up in every room, but this year I didn't.....thank the good Lord above, because the rate I am going I would not have them down until July!!

Speaking of July, today I put my deposit down for my mission trip to the Dominican Republic! My goodness when I think about last year when I put my deposit down, I was full of what-ifs, doubts and down right fear. This year, I my heart is leaping for joy! I cannot wait to get back there. Of course this trip will be a little different, the accommodations will be a lot more rough and there will be no showers and bathrooms, but I am not worried in the least! The trip is set for July 11-19, so be in prayer for this up-coming mission trip, for our group and the group that we will be ministering to!! Yippee, can't wait!!

Well this post seems to be scattered, so I will save y'all from any more of my ramblings, because as I just typed this, I thought of something else, but I will wait until next time!!

Have a great day!!

Grumpy

What a week and it is only Wednesday!! Goodness!

I will fill you in on the diet progress, my mood is a little like this....

I am not grumpy because I am not eating, I am just plain grumpy for no real good reason! I have not done terribly, horribly bad in my first three days, but I have not wonderfully, terrifically great either. Maybe if it has not been raining and just plain yucky outside and if I would of went walking like I had planned, I would feel like I have accomplished something. Today it is sunny, but all muddy and slushy and I am just so sleepy, that I can not seem to hold my eyes open.....I know excuses!

The thing about diets, it all in my head. Each morning I have had a piece of fruit or something of nutritional value and an hour or so later, I am starving!! I never eat breakfast and now that I am, I want to eat more! Ughh! I know this diet circle, you need to eat and not skip meals and eat smaller and more frequent meals and snacks. I got that all down, the part that I struggle with is the mental aspect of the diet. Ignore the ice cream that is screaming in the freezer, really ice cream can not talk, and it surly is not begging me to eat it! Trust me, I'm not crazy, it's the diet!

Beside the diet woes, I am just plain tuckered-out. Nothing new has happened, no late nights that may be causing me to be sleepy, I just am!

Maybe it is the Twilight book I'm reading! That must be it. I am not sleeping, well because I am afraid that a vampire is going to suck my blood! Who knows....

Now for some sunshine for this dreary post......Just because it needs it!!

Lots Of Random Stuff

Happy Halloween!

Halloween is not my favorite holiday, the only reason I some what get excited is because there are cat associated with it, and yep I'm a cat lover! Look how cute these kitties are!!

I have not posted much this week, I have just been so busy that I have had a hard time with just getting a few minutes to sit and type! I have done one blog makeover this week that was completed and another that I am working on, along with getting ready to work on one for our Ladies Ministry blog, so this has been occupying my time.....a lot!! But I like doing it, so I am not complaining...much. I would not be me if I did not complain some!!

Here is my kitty Gracie, she has been helping me design blog lately!! She was actually in my way, but she was too cute to move...

I just finished my second full week of work! Yippee! They say once you make it over the two week hump, it's smooth sailing from there!
Actually it had been great, I am so blessed to get a job that totally fits me to a T, but of course I am one of those that like to start something and finish it in the same sitting...that's not happening here, it's a work in progress. I just feel like..Hey the day is gone...but I am not done.....wait let me finish!! I need to work on this and just turn everything off, walk away and know that I can do it tomorrow! It will get better, or maybe I should say I'll get better!!!

There is one thing that is kicking my butt...the telephone!! Here is the culprit...

Looks simple, huh? It is, but for some reason it is not being very user friendly to me!! Ughh, and this is coming from the girl who's first job was as a telephone operator using this...

Yep, my first job I used a machine just like this, and we called it "The Beast"!! I loved it, and using this was way cool!! So if I can learn something like this, what is my problem with the other phone?? I guess it is too simple. I transfer people to voice mail when I just want to transfer and when I want to transfer a call to voice mail, I can't!! Oh well I need a glitch here and there, right?

So for the next thing about my new job is I need to decorate my office....the walls are a little bare. I brought some cat stuff in and a round mirror but I need some inspiration.

Plus, there is another bare wall that I did not get a picture of!! So if you have any ideas for me.....GREAT!! I could use them! Of course I love cats and a total cat theme would be great, but I do not want to get fired for being too PURRFECT!! He he!!

I've Never....

Well my first week of work is now in the history books, that's a big Whoo to the Hoo!!
It went so well, and I feel very comfortable in my new role.

Hubby was great this week, and helped so much picking up the slack and helping us all transition into me working again. The boys were not to happy, because mom can tend to be a push over, but Dad, is not!! It was a mini boot camp around our household this week! Every afternoon when I got home, I got this look of "HELP" from the boys! This is a first in a long time, that everything was done, organized, cleaned & put up and just plain orderly! Even the animals are getting a redo on their fencing, so inside & out everything is ship, shape!! Another Whoo to the Hoo, please!

Ok, you were thinking that this was going to be a sweet tribute to my first week of work and all the wonderful things that were happening around the home front......well, I can't seem to help myself, so here comes the rant!! Yep, I am getting ready to throw myself a full blown hissy fit!

I have never in my life been so ill at the actions and hurtful words of some!!! There I said it, it's out, I feel somewhat better! I get so sick of some that think they are so very self-righteous, the world owes them, they are entitled to everything that they think belongs to them and when life happens and it did not go the way they planned, of course it is someone else's fault and they pin the blame on that, poor, unexpected person! Ugghhh, sometimes women can be so vicious! Yep, I was a fall person for someone this week.

I am a little hurt, I will have to say and I would love to confront this person and say:

"Hey, what's the deal with you....I had no idea...please leave me out of your pity party, and quit trying to make me feel bad because, just maybe this was not about you and what you wanted, but about someone else and their accomplishment and hard work, It was not yours to begin with....it was a toss up and anybodies game!"

I am so glad the Lord loves such a sinner as myself and forgives me for my sometimes daily rants!!!

OK, I am done, I am stepping off that soap box and I will try not to visit it again!

Back to the happy post....I see butterflies floating daintily, worry free in the breeze that is gently pushing fall leaves through the sky and squirrels scurrying around along the vibrant oranges, browns and yellows that are the fresh fallen leaves getting the last of their harvest tucked safely away for the winter. (What a run on sentence!!) Goodness I feel better!

I do have a question for y'all....

I am looking for a new Thanksgiving tradition for this year. We usually cook the big feast and enjoy each other. This year Jeremy sister her husband and our nephew is coming for thanksgiving. I would love to do something fun and exciting Thanksgiving day, and would love to know what your family does after the big feast!! Does your family play games, watch the games or just simply take naps?? Let me know and throw any suggestion my way!!
